CHARLOTTE, NC: In its first year of opening, Eddie's Place Restaurant has reached out to the Ballantyne community and has been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response to its willingness to participate in local community events.
"We decided to build in this area because we did not see any restaurants offering our type of atmosphere - casual with a wide ranging menu – family friendly, and yet willing to let the bar patrons roar during a Panther game," stated Eddie Gallant, co-owner of Eddie's Place. Pleasantly surprised by the steadily increasing local patronage of the restaurant – the owners have been delighted by the level of interest and participation of area community partners. Endhaven Elementary School has chosen Eddie's Place as one of its participating restaurants for their weekly "Endhaven Eats Out" family fundraising nights. Additionally, the restaurant contacted the local Morrison Family YMCA to see if they could be of service and were asked to participate in the Ballantyne Village YMCA's Community Outreach Event held earlier this month at the Ballantyne Village Theatre. And just the other evening, a local organization of Y-Professionals met for a social and dinner at the restaurant.
"More than anything, we want to be a visible partner in our community. We live here, we have expanded our business here in South Charlotte and we want to contribute to the community that supports us," declared Judy Spurgeon, co-owner of Eddie's Place.
The banner that hangs at all of the events that Eddie's Place supports states "Your Neighborhood Restaurant and Community Partner" because they mean it.
Open seven (7) days a week, serving breakfast anytime, lunch, and dinner, there are delicious opportunities to enjoy the many flavors and faces of Eddie's Place. Eddie and Judy invite you to come in and join them for your first of many great meals and good times at Eddie's Place.
